Thank you to our families who filled out the Community Schools Needs Assessment Survey. Based on survey feedback, here are 3 priorities we are focusing on and how you can continue to help:

1.                  Communication - You recognized Dedicated Teachers as our school strength and overwhelmingly felt supported by and connected to the school. We value your trust, and we want to build our connection even stronger. We heard you want more frequent communication. To communicate with you more often, we have staff working on our newsletter, this website, and our FaceBook page. Please follow Colvin's FB page for updates throughout the week and look for pictures of your students!

2.                  Resources - We heard many families face financial hardship and would like information about food and clothing assistance. Our office staff and City Hall are here to help where we can. We both have a list of resources for food and clothing assistance. Remember, City Hall is attached to Colvin in the parking lot where 4th and 5th grade are released. City Hall is also able to help with filling out job applications or housing assistance forms.

3.                  Parent Engagement - We will form parent leadership groups to share more in-depth about what you want to see in our school and community. If you shared your contact information in the survey, we will invite you to join. If you didn't, please call the office or email mtomsen@usd259.net and let us know you’d like to be in a parent leadership group.
